First Fruit: 2013 Tomato Season

I thought this was an early year, but as I post this I realize that last year was even earlier. Started from seed in the basement grow area, these plants were about 5 feet tall when transplanted to the garden.

This year started a number of Biodynamic gardening methods. Interested to see how they affect the yields. Here are some of our first fruits. If you are in the S.E. Michigan area and you want to know when we have tomatoes available, just sign up for Shel’s Tomato News. We’ll let you know when they start coming in. First come first serve. I’ll be posting the varieties in the next few days.

Thanks for stopping by! – Sheldon

“Jelly Bean” Tomatoes:

“Mr Stripey” Tomato:
